These Skylight Blinds Will save on our AC bill in our short-term rental while still having beautiful natural light! The option to open and close manually is great and done with ease with our ordered pole.
Installation was a little longer for the first skylight, just as we prepared and had a learning curve. Went quickly and at ease for the next two. 30 minutes max for each. Great product!
Searched long and hard for a reasonably priced screen door that would fit the frame of my 130 year old randomly-sized front entry. This was cut to spec and delivered speedily, easily installed, looks nice, and unobtrusive when open or shut. For longevity, suggest using the screws for install rather than the adhesive provided.
My doorframe is lopsided so I had to pound the screen frame in with a mallet, and the frame held up well to this manhandling.
The one thing missing from the product is a latch for the closed position—it does stay put without one but I’ll probably add one so my daughter can’t open it without me noticing.
Do note it will keep the bugs out but nothing in—if you’ve got clumsy kiddos or a gregarious dog they will plow right through this thing and it may or may not survive. The screen is free-floating accordion fold which is great for not blocking the view, but any pressure knocks the bottom out of the track allowing easy exit for determined babies or pets.
I did the whole track system alone from taking out of box to nailing it to the wall! So I would say you can do it!!!
Made to order perfectly sized. Installation was relatively easy. Keeps the harsh sunlight out and helps with keeping the house cool. The price was reasonable and the work great.

These shades are the real deal, they black out any exterior light. I open and close them everyday and so far no issues.
Strongly disliked the folding door that was on my laundry space because it made access to the washer difficult and I was not able to open the dryer door all the way. This accordion door was the perfect solution! Was easy to install.
I love this electric skylight shade so much! This makes my room dark any hour of the day. For shift workers this is a solid game changer!!! Buy it!!! My husband did have to drill a hole into the attic and then hardwire it into a junction box. And again the black and white (did not function when initially wired with their white to our neutral wire) electrical wires were reversed for our unit. The black wire was neutral! It may have just been our device. There was 0 response from the unit until connecting their black (European Neutral color) to our white (USA neutral color). Keep in mind my husband is an electrician who has worked in both the US and Europe.
